In my town, a strong groundswell is stirring to lead minds to action for #Peace On the 81st anniversaries this August of annihilation of Hiroshima & Nagasaki in 1945 by atomic bombs dropped by the U.S. & thousands of deaths in current conflicts, increasing focus on peace is crucial to human survival

Proud of myself for declining an offer to join a board of directors today. Told the org I’d done enough unpaid labour for them already and that future support needs to be paid.

This feels a bit like prohibiting arsonists from burning hospital emergency rooms in the most populous cities, instead of banning arson. The most popular social media platforms seem utterly centred on farming outrage and holding everyone's attention to the maximum.

When addictive social media feeds depend on keeping a child's attention at any cost, their well-being takes a back seat. Enough is enough — we’re requiring these companies to make social media safer for the future of Illinois.

This feels a bit like prohibiting arsonists from burning hospital emergency rooms in the most populous cities, instead of banning arson. The most popular social media platforms seem utterly centred on farming outrage and holding everyone's attention to the maximum.

Everyone is sick of AI slop, and it seems LinkedIn got the message. You can now report posts for seeming like "AI slop". Let's hope this is the start of a bigger trend of social media companies rejecting the deluge of AI diarrhea that fouls our screens.
