Revisions are stressful, but also a beautiful part of the process. I’m writing a new scene for one of my characters in my manuscript, In This Town & it is helping me see a clearer, more complete arc for this character. I’m really excited to get this draft done (still have a lot to do though 🙃)

I love Fall weather, but not what it does to my sinuses. We are approaching 4 weeks of having a headache almost every day. In less negative news, a new episode of our podcast drops tomorrow, and I’ve been writing much more slowly than usual, but I’ll get back to my rhythm eventually.

Keeping that media blitz going! Here is my first interview, which I recorded a couple of months ago, when I sat down with Dave from the @livingthenextchapter podcast to discuss my author journey and my recent collection, Menagerie in the Dark. podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/l...

I took a step back today from plot movement and worked on some scene development. A lot of this might not make it into the story, but it’s helping flesh out my characters. Moody Road short story and the next chapter of Kiss & Tell coming soon!

I was going to write this morning, but my mind is not there. I’ve been dealing with sinus and headache issues and needed the feel-good, relaxing sensation of diving into somebody else’s world, so I read. I’ll write tonight instead, after I get the gears moving for my day job.

A new review for Menagerie in the Dark—have you had a chance to read it yet? If you ask me, it’s a perfect choice for spooky season 😉. Available in hardcover online from major retailers and as an ebook on Kindle and Kindle Unlimited (link in my bio).

This week on The Rants & Musings Podcast, Caleb recounts a failed attempt to climb a mountain. Would he suggest trying it again? No, but at least he wrote a story while almost freezing to death—silver linings people! Episode available now on Substack, Apple Podcasts, and Spotify.
