i’ve been walking by this building for over 20 years and I always thought this would happen. I think it’s fine: it’s a beautiful building, especially given what it’s intended purpose was.

Nostalgia can put a pit in my stomach at times. Esp hearing songs from my youth with so many memories tied to them... not necessarily negative feeling, just intense.
I know there's not much to be done about these demolitions and the cost to renovate is nearly impossible... still hurts to see what little historic architecture that's left just disappear.

A conspicuous level of tumult in the NYC music scene presently. Lots of changes/turn over across the field. Good moment to be reminded of the light that exists in shadow.
Hard to imagine typing this line about anything/one: "...one of the most singular works of art ever created by humankind."
National Treasure, WAY.

Very disappointed to see what would've been a glorious expansion of #BushwickInletPark at 40 Quay turn into MORE high rises on the WB/GP waterfront. @mayor.nyc.gov supports it bc the developer conceded to 40% permanent "affordable" housing. Why not at least demand LOW ICOME? Anyway, here it is...

I have a folder on my Mac that contains subfolders going back to 2007 with various iterations of the label "Desktop." It's where I "pile" stuff to declutter my home screen. I guess that's an sort of archive? It also deeply triggers anxiety around organization. So it goes.
