-Co-Founder of Bloom & Gloom -All-around Dev but specialized in Art/TechArt -GameDev for 14+ years for Sony & Ubisoft, PowWowEnt I love video games, I love making them & would love to get to know more like-minded people! https://linktr.ee/chrisradsby

Growing up with games from the 80s & early 90s Im honestly baffled how one could even end up liking them! Watching GrandPOOBear play Lion King (SNES) & man, crazy frustrating just even watching it haha! My first video game was Ghosts'n Goblins for NES. I was 4. F me right? xD

Noticed this while watching footage of builder games,Its a bit sad to see tbh If you spend 2-3 years making a game, its sad to see it come out the other end unrecognizable because you made a decision to use marketplace assets. Better to downscope art into something more managable imo! #Gamedev

Having played a bunch of the Nioh 3 Demo I can say that Yes I like the game & Yes its probably one of the worst optimized games out there. What you pay vs what you get in terms of graphics fidelity is not really worth it. Good game though, its just a sad state of things.

Been playing some open world games this year. Mostly mixed feelings, it feels like teams are scrambling to reach the expectations of the genre while games that have more focused experiences has excelled Favorite open worlds this year is probably: MH Wilds & Nightreign #GameDev

I'm 50/50 when it comes to stepped-anim in games. I feel like having a choppy character & fluid everything else is weird. If I made a game like this I'd force usage static cameras + hand-animating everything with steps + moving objects on a grid with steps XD..team would hate me

With the drama in regards to retracted awards I do feel like the IGDA needs to have a more fleshed out AI Policy. Any award show should do their due diligence before handing out awards, handing the award to another after the fact just sours the experience for everybody =/ #GameDev

Man do I miss more focus on immersive gameplay in more modern titles. Games are just becoming more & more static. I understand that its a huge production cost but its a bit sad to see large productions barely even doing the minimum when it comes to world interaction.

I was up at midnight to early morning watching the Game Awards with some really cool people involved in the swedish gamedev scene. Had a great time! I really enjoy when we come together like that, up all night, celebrating the successes of our peers, lets do it again! #Gamedev

You know that moment, when you play the game you are making & even though its rough its starting to come together, it finally feels like a game. Its such a wonderful feeling, just some more content, more variation & maybe something magical with happen in the future. #Gamedev

Let's give some appreciation for The Order 1886. It's 10 years old, hands down a lot more realistic & nicer looking than some modern titles. The care, effort, craftmanship put into the visuals is stunning even 10 years later. Thanks DF for the gifs ! Part 1
