Unreasonably proud of myself because I just told some French people, in French, that there was no toilet paper in the loo.

SOLO SHOW "INNARDS" AT THE ED. FRINGE 20th-30th AUGUST, 11:15, WHISTLEBINKIES! Extra intimate shows 18th-19th AUGUST, 12:10, GEORGE STREET SUPERCUBE! https://ko-fi.com/chrissyderbyshirecomedy
Another great gig down. My smallest crowd so far (3), but one was Sam and the other two were two very enthusiastic guys who found me in the Blue Book, loved the show, and said they'd recommend me to other people 🥰
GCSEs? Smashed 'em, mate! Please send your congratulations and/or Glee or Darren Criss gifs to Anwen!
Oh, and one punter was a guy who saw me doing my double header last year and liked it enough to come back 🥰
The contradictory urges to flyer people who look like they'd be into my show, but *not* flyer people who are walking along anxiously wearing headphones.
Best show so far. A brilliant, loud audience of eight, including both friends and punters. I love doing comedy.
Rest of the UK: Drought. Edinburgh: ALERT! ALERT! TOO MUCH WATER! PLEASE USE DISPOSABLE BARBECUES ALL ALONG PRINCES STREET! HECK, JUST CUT OUT THE MIDDLEMAN AND SET THE LOCAL STARBUCKS ON FIRE!
Wanted some nice comforting TV that I haven't already seen a hundred times, and I don't want to watch Ann Droid without Anwen, so I'm trying Ludwig. I would already die for this agitated autistic man.
Just got called "one of the best panellists we have" by the host of a very established Fringe panel show 😭❤️ And it wasn't even the one where I've appeared both as myself and as Ray O'Leary.
The Fringe experience: Minute 1: I am invincible, the world is beautiful, nothing can go wrong 🤩 Minute 2: Yeah, when I have a headache I love self-medicating with MULTIPLE CONFLICTING BAGPIPES 🤬
An interview podcast in a bit and then I'm done for the day. So tired this year I can't even think about seeing shows for the most part. Feels weird not to have seen @watsoncomedian.bsky.social yet, but it'll happen. Beyond that, I might continue to be a bit antisocial.
Second show: Five people, but none of them were my existing friends so I'm counting it as a win. Also had my first two people who found me through the Wee Blue Book rather than flyering. A good, receptive audience. Bye Supercube, you've been a lovely cube to tell jokes in. Hello Whistlebinkies!
Fingers crossed, the college issue is sorted.
So far Sam has walked in on me on the toilet and I've walked in on Charlie. I will update you on the Saga of the Lockless Bathroom Door as it progresses.
MY SHOW STARTS TODAY! Two lil intimate performances at the George Street Supercube, 12:10pm, today and tomorrow, before my main run at Whistlebinkies. Come along!
I can't work out whether the men of the Fringe are significantly more attractive or whether I just have a weird synaesthesia that associates being surrounded by comedy with feelings of attraction. Either way, phwoar, Edinburgh.
As I gear up to actually write some puns for the UK Pun-Off at half one, I feel like it's a good time to remind you that you now have the option to remotely caffeinate this comedian. ko-fi.com/chrissyderby...

Another delightful Box under my belt (as it were). This time I told the story of my birth via a doula shaking a loud egg at the birth canal entrance, comprehensively dissed Callista Flockhart for no reason, and applied eyeliner badly. Also saw Nish Kumar in the street, and now I'm having lunch.
Another great spot on A Political Breakfast this morning. Posters are up in my main venue. First flyers handed out. Off to do What's in the Box again (my actually scheduled appearance) in a bit, then I've got a spot on a compilation show at stupid o'clock at night.
I now have a Ko-Fi link in my bio. In the name of all the gods, buy this underslept and overcomedied comedian a coffee.
Mark Watson succeeds in impressing middle aged women, again
Less fun: Being called a "fucking slut" by a random old man on the way to the venue.
Not to mention the unusual number of crustaceans.
Great unexpected spot on What's in the Box, where I was a very festive if rapidly ageing Ray O'Leary and Vix's ex-boyfriend Mark Watson the Bendy Horse was prevented from massacring crows by the colourful frog alarm. I also used a crystal piss-lens to fix the sight of the wrong polycule member.

Joke's on life, I'm actually very good in a crisis (and *only* in a crisis)
