Fall Lane regularly appears in lists of must visit football grounds in the UK so, this evening, I headed into the Colne Valley to see what all the fuss is about. Oh my, what a stunning ground! It was a bad night at the office though for Marsden who were beaten 6-0 by Ryburn United #Groundhopping

Monday night action in the *checks notes* Midland League Premier Div. as Whitchurch Alport were comprehensively despatched 4-1 by Runcorn Town (att: 178) at Yockings Park. It was 4-0 at half time and it could have been more. The homesters consolation came from a stoppage time penalty #Groundhopping

It's the 3rd Round of the FAI Cup this weekend and an opportunity to spend a Sunday revisiting a couple of classic Irish grounds was not to be sniffed at. So, with a return ferry costing just £12 it was over the Irish Sea to Dublin that I headed...

At Cae-y-Castell tonight as Flint Town United took on Barry Town United in their first home game of the new Cymru Premier season. New teams, new format, new players, new matchday but The Silkmen conceding late is nothing new; a 3-2 loss made it two defeats from two #Groundhopping #Cymru 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 #Wales

A visit to another Liverpool hub as Woolton FC returned to the Simpson Sports Ground for their first home game of 26/27. They beat Ashton Town 3-2 the North West Counties League Div.1 North (att: 154). Last season The Woo played at Jericho Lane as they made the play-offs #Groundhopping #NWCFL

Another disappointing evening in Europe for #Cymru as, despite winning 1-0 on the night (1-1 on aggregate) The New Saints exited the #UEFA Conference League after losing 4-2 on pens to a bang average Flora Tallinn side (att: 958). In the current coefficients only San Marino are worse than Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🆚️🇪🇪

Headed to Lincolnshire on an historic day for Immingham Town as, for the first time in 30 or so years, the club returned to both to the Northern Counties East League and, competitively, to the Woodlands Sports Ground. Doncaster City were the visitors and they won 4-1 (att: 180) #Groundhopping

It's been about 20 years since my previous visit to the Causeway Stadium, home of Matlock Town, and this afternoon I fancied a revisit to this wonderful ground. The visitors for this pre-season friendly were League Two Rotherham United. It finished all square 1-1 (att: 776) #Groundhopping
