Great British Energy has installed new solar arrays at Blackpool Gateway Academy, Marton Primary Academy, & Nursery. These savings will enable both schools to reinvest directly in education for pupils by improving facilities, investing in resources, or supporting day-to-day operations.

I’ve hit the ground running for 2026 by asking 10 questions in Parliament throughout January, taking the issues and concerns raised by Blackpool residents straight to Parliament and pressing ministers, chancellors and secretaries of state to deliver the support our town deserves. 🗼

Blackpool faces serious housing shortages. While the Council has made real progress in building new homes, there is still more to be done. I asked the Secretary of State what can be done so that we can build the social housing we desperately need & meet the £1.5 million target.

Not only are waiting lists falling, but ambulances are arriving faster, and patient satisfaction with GP access has increased from 60% to 75%.  Fewer staff are leaving than at any point in the past decade, outside of the pandemic. All this despite a really challenging winter.
