I can understand going to a place and betting on sports (not my thing and I worry about addiction, but I get it) but how can anyone say it is OK to place a bet on future military action?

My grandfathers were shoe men and random farm job men respectively but I'm sure had Excel been around they wouldn't be able to resist them siren song of the cells. My daughter will toil in sheets.

Whatever you think about Mamdani or his policies, the fact that people on the left get “in trouble” for criticizing him is bad for everyone, including the Mamdani administration. This cult vibe and mentality is a major reason that lots of folks (including myself) are leery of DSA.

I do not believe this is an unintended consequence. I think ebikes are a potentially revolutionary transportation improvement (especially for teens) and the people opposed to them hate them for exactly that reason
