1/2. He took the greatest military force in history, lost a war to a middle power in a week, begged the world to save him, & demanded the media lie about this & everything else. I try, but at a simple human level I do not see how anyone mistakes this man’s almost supernatural weakness for strength.

Most NJ/NY parents hated the Uncle Floyd show but we loved it. And we loved Floyd Vivino, aka Uncle Floyd. The show featured fan art every day, but I was too scared to send in a drawing. Yrs later I drew Floyd for a Dr Demento album, got to meet him and tell him how much I revered him. RIP legend.

From left to right is myself, Sarah Dyer, Fred Schneider, Uncle Floyd Vivino and Drew Friedman. Not seen are Dennis Diken, Doctor Demento, Jerry Only and John Cafiero. It was a wonderful event and I enjoyed it more as a fan than as someone who was part of the signing. I could have listened to Floyd and Drew Friedman talk old New York and New Jersey showbiz for days. Fun fact -- they were both sued by Joe Franklin! They both had fun stories about that.
