I got to teach my kids about the dagger moth caterpillar (cool name). Slightly toxic. If you touch it, the hairs get stuck in your skin, causing a rash that burns. I think I'll wait until it's a moth to see it again.

I've been going to Houston for years for work. While there I also visit family, check out local eats and record shops. It's a sprint wrapped in a dash stuffed in a marathon. Recently I learned we're not doing the Houston conference anymore. Thank God I pushed myself to do the after work side quests.

Tech absolutely operates in a bubble. The engineering mindset trap: focus on a solution, then hope adopters bring their problems to it for validation. Backwards is an understatement. Meanwhile, there are real problems in plain sight: homelessness, mental health, sustainability, equality, fascists…
