THE WORLD'S FINEST FIGHT! A lot of firsts here: First time back as a convention guest after leaving comics. First & favorite sketch cover drawn at a show. First time drawing Supes & Bats together in a long time. First characters DC Comics tested me on were Supes & Bats. Happy Wayback Wednesday.

"Ya Dead Right, Mate!" Dave Wakeling of English Beat fame did the soundtrack for "Dance of the Undead (ep.18) of Scooby Doo Mystery Incorporated. I co-storyboarded the cwazy ska dance for this & other sequences.

DIC studio once had me design the art for "STRONGMEN", a collossally lamed blue collar superteam show pitch. The team became a solo hero with the even dreadful name, "OFFICER STRONG". Hasbro stepped in with a toy deal and it was all redesigned & widely sold as C.O.P.S. Oh well, Hurray for Hollywood!

A holiday note about the SILVER SENTRY: I was blessed & privileged to have designed this mighty Black Superhero & good friend to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Michelangelo for the TMNT '03 series. In honor of our ancestors, we wish y'all a HAPPY JUNETEENTH!

Pt. 2--Altho we missed getting in DC Sampler #3, JLA #237 was back on track with the new foe now an 80's New Wave version of The Fiddler. I really didn't like the guy, the story or what I'd drawn but I finished it & was heading to the post office--where I somehow lost all the pages before mailing!

I pencilled this two page ad for DC Sampler #3, meant to introduce some new Soviet super villains and unite the classic JLAers with the newer "JLD". But at the last minute, the plot was changed, the new villains were dropped and JLA was left out of the sampler. Oh well. Happy Throwback Thursday.

Since it's Flag Day-- here's a snippet of my storyboard from the unproduced Captain America animated series of 1997. During production, word came down that we weren't to show swastikas or say the word "Nazi" on the show. More about this later.
