Metal, indie, pop, country, folk. Soundtracked by various. Posts mostly about gigs, poor lyric puns & nonsense & nature-y photos. Selfie free zone. Not DM-able. Mildly weird, always truthful. Looking for the upside where possible.

"I'm not sad, I'm just disappointed" - ah yeah. Saw The Frames 3 times, 2 x big outdoor festival full daylight which did them no favours, then 1 x small club where I'd only gone for the sake of another act. That was a stunning performance, artistically. Then came the internet & wider info, oh boy.

Two in the AM and I just finished the first fiction I've read in yonks. 380 pages over three nights, fantastic. Note to self - more of that, if not necessarily into the early hours every time.

Accounting for the hearing loss time again then. First concert: The Wombles Last concert: The Cure Next concert: Self Esteem Most concert: The Wonder Stuff Wish Concert: still theoretically possible, it would be Steve Perry on any terms, more plausibly it'll be Chappell Roan given the chance.

I was once overtaken on the motorway by what I remember as a dark red Bentley with the registration 'K33GAN'. Don't think it was going quite as fast as his bike briefly was that time on Superstars. Not much of an anecdote but it's not like he needs my contribution to his memory.

Made it! Got through the day after getting to bed at 4.30, up at 7.45 and on no more than a usual amount of coffee. Not gonna be a late night though, I suspect.

Having been on a plane that was struck by lightning in a storm while on the approach to Mexico City, I have no comment to make about entirely predictable conditions.
