One of the hardest thing to get people to understand is that teachers don’t get paid for the summer. We’re on furlough. Unpaid time off. Those who do get paid get ≈26% less per paycheck during 10 months to cover their summer pay.
When I was on my cruise, I met this older gentleman who was adorably proud of his who went back to school to earn her doctorate. I told my mother that’s what a wanted. She said “a husband that’s proud of you?” NO WOMAN! A PhD! 😒
Had an impromptu girl date with my boos. They treated me to lunch for my two weeks ago birthday and cigars/gossip as a nightcap. Love having amazing women in my life.
