Filipino American author of DOMINGO THE BOUNTY HUNTER series, 2025, Thomas & Mercer; MY MACARTHUR, 2018, SHRP. Literary agent: Maria Napolitano, KT Literary.

The high of finishing a novel never gets old. My agent gets to read it first. It used to take me years to write a novel. I’m in awe of authors who publish a book every year or twice a year. Things that helped me write faster: a book contract, an outline approved by my acquiring editor & a deadline.

Traditional publishing is hard. Just getting published is a privilege. But my biggest reward is meeting readers such as the Boston Filipino American Book Club who really get my writing. Thanks to the BFABC for reading my Domingo the Bounty Hunter series. I appreciate all of you more than I can say💕

This spring, we decided to plant some vegetables with minimal effort. We bought seedlings, a planter, a bag of soil. We planted everything. Before long, we have our first vegetable. I never thought a single zucchini could make me so happy☺️

Fair Oaks Library's Mystery Book Club recently read "Now You See Us" by Balli Kaur Jaswal. We loved it! It's a big-hearted book abt Filipino domestic workers in Singapore. It has gravitas. As a Filipino American, I'm doubly impressed that the author is not Filipino. Kudos! #readingcommunity
