I finally saw the Matisse exhibit at AIC. There was a small girl with her father and she kept asking him to photograph an occasional drawing. Because she wanted to try to copy it at home.

I put it off for way too long, but I finally got the Shingrix vaccine. It was less painful than any of my Covid boosters. So if you’re worried about how painful it is, don’t be.

I am helping put together a panel of queer speakers for a work event. Do you happen to know a queer speaker from Ireland or India you’d recommend? Born in the US, but able to speak about their experience in the country would be fine, too.

My therapist got an amazing dream job opportunity. I’m thrilled for them. But now I need a new therapist who does EMDR, has good ethics, speaks Internet, and is taking new patients. And ideally takes my insurance. Tall order. I know. But your girl just wants to fucking heal.

I’d knit an entire skein of yarn in a fairly complicated multi-cable pattern and I just ripped it all out. My gauge was off. I’d made too many mistakes. And I think I’ll be half a skein short.

34 years ago, I sat at a table in a campus building at OSU and helped appliqué fabric letters onto a quilt square. The letters spelled out the name of someone who died from AIDS the year before. I had thought we made it through the period of fear and hatred. I was wrong.
