You were wrong about Hillary Clinton and my bet is you will be found wrong on Platner too. You supported HRC in 2016 and now we know she rigged it with AIPAC help. You killed the Platner campaign with spurious allegations, which you wanted to believe, because often the Left doesn't like A type men who believe in serving their country and are suffering from PTSD and the effects of serving their country in foreign wars. They hate strong men who have classic American values, even that those same men support Socialist causes and human rights for all. Now all we hear is crickets on Platner, and later we will find it's what the AIPAC supporters wanted to ensure they keep their 80% majority in Congress. Like the HRC campaign, we will hear about it in 10 years.
The corruption is staggering, and obviously crosses party lines.

Allyson Lilley Yet again, Socialism has nothing to do with totalitarianism. A Capitalist state can become a totalitarian state as much as any other. Socialism puts the value of the citizen first, instead of corporations. Socialists work for the betterment of their society, while Capitalists work to better the botttom line of corporate interests. You are aware that the USA has been under heavy corporate influence these past 50 years, leading to the demise of many of our basic social programs? Taxes have gone down so much that we are unable to pay for basic services like roads and other infrastructure. For example, the inheritance tax, went from over 90% in Reagans Administration to 40% and less today. The Founders of this nation believed the estate tax should be high because they believed that inherited wealth created aristocracy, and they were correct. So for 200 years it was accepted fact until Reagan and the Republicans have chipped away at that.
The rich are getting richer because they are not paying their share. Another example is they placed a tax cap on SSA of $184,500. Those making a million dollars pay the same as those making under $200,000, which means they are paying far less of a share of their income into the system.
No ma'am, Socialism is and has not been what has put this country into its current financial predicament. It has been rich Capitalists who want to become aristocracy and oligarchs who are ruining our democracy.
