This year, as I join the women who survived at P4W, we especially remember 24 year old Kiara Dawn Mooswa, the First Nations woman who died recently while being transported from Edmonton to Okimaw Ohci prison. We extend our hearts to all those grieving today. 2/3

"A concentration camp, in its most basic definition, is a place where a targeted civilian population, not necessarily accused of a crime, is detained and at least some of their basic rights are suspended," writes @jwashing.bsky.social. "That’s precisely what’s happening in the United States today."

Trump's approval ratings are at all-time lows. He's flailing on the economy. His "little excursion" in Iran has become a forever war. Even Republicans are beginning to revolt against him. He's not all powerful. He's a failed president.

This is how to help save life on our planet. Australia now has 40% of housing with solar panels & are supplying 50% of their power usage for free & by next year they estimate all domestic electricity usage will be free. C'mon America you can do it. Stop using life destroying, dirty fossil fuels.
ICE agents threatened to beat up a Seattle small business owner, married to a citizen, with NO criminal record unless he signed a "voluntary" departure. I'm told there were cameras in the room. I'm demanding any video and that Eduardo be brought home immediately.
On Thursday, ICE needlessly detained Eduardo Aguirre Esparza, a local Seattle small business owner with no criminal history. This is a man who is married to an American citizen and with deep ties to our local community who was working hard to pursue a legal pathway to lawful permanent residence.
Uber Eats and DoorDash hid tip buttons and set default tips below 10%. As a result, tips for delivery workers fell 79%. In January, we made these corporations change their apps — and in the past six months, we've put $104 million back in delivery workers' pockets. This is only the beginning.
It’s corruption on steroids in plain sight. He doesn’t even try to hide that he’s looting US and cashing in on insider trading. He’s the most corrupt president in American history.

Wow. That's some kind of vision. Canada dreams much more modestly. First, we spend most of our budgets subsidizing pipelines we don't need, then we count the pennies left over to do real industrial development.
