Justice must be accessible to everyone. On the International Day of the World's Indigenous Peoples, we honour the resilience, knowledge, and leadership of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis Peoples, and reaffirm our commitment to advancing human rights and improving access to justice.

Last week’s decision marked a significant milestone for our client, the Council of Canadians with Disabilities (CCD), whose decade-long challenge has resulted in an important advancement for the rights of people involuntarily detained under BC's Mental Health Act.

Happy Vancouver Pride! Today is a celebration of community, resilience, and the ongoing pursuit of equality. We stand with 2SLGBTQIA+ communities in BC and remain committed to protecting human rights and improving access to justice for all. Have a safe and joyful Pride!

Emancipation Day marks the abolition of slavery across the British Empire but the legacy of slavery & anti-Black racism continues to shape barriers to justice. We are committed to advancing human rights & building systems where everyone can exercise their rights with dignity.

Juneteenth recognizes the end of slavery in the US and honours generations of Black organizers, activists, scholars & communities who fight for liberation and equality. We also acknowledge that anti-Black racism remains deeply embedded in many institutions and systems today.
