AI for MetaScience workshop at U Paris Saclay 23-27 Nov indico.ijclab.in2p3.fr/event/11640/ What is "Meta" in "Metascience"? What it is not: when AI plays a role in the data/simulation pipeline so not fast AI, not reconstruction, not fast simulation, not inference, not Foundation Models ... 🧵

AI for Meta Science

Overview Artificial Intelligence (AI) has gained significant attention for its applications in science. This workshop will focus on its potential use beyond primary scientific data analysis pipelines,...

Am I the only one who dreads emails titled “Next WP1 meeting” or documents called “WP3 status report”? Dude, I’m involved, by a toe or my whole body, in half a dozen projects from which it could come from!

1/ New paper accepted at IGARSS2026: We show how machine learning can extract surface properties of planets like Mars from radar echoes. We replace previously relied upon simplified approaches by a fully uncertainty-aware, probabilistic inference procedure.

A scientific poster with dark blue background and a visualization of mars and a satellite with wavefronts going from the satellite to the planet at the center. Title: Neural Posterior Estimation of Terrain parameters from radar sounder data.

I'm very excited about this new paper, which kicks of our LEGO ERC project we started earlier this year towards general-purpose AI surrogates for simulating radiation-matter interaction. Instead of training AI surrogates for specific detectors or material distribution ...

SciPost is a decade old! 🎉 Looking back, we feel immense gratitude for your engagement and support, without which none of this would have been possible. You are our authors, Fellows, referees, readers, advisors, and sponsors: our everything. We hope you're ready for more; we certainly are.
