Additionally, something curious I've noticed is that the RNG in the NES version is actually much more random and easy to change, while the DS remake seems to use and cycle through all the same seeds every time you rewind. I prefer the Switch NES port for a number of reasons, this being one of them.

I'm amazed at how big of a game Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon (and the Blade of Light) is. I've put a lot of hours in, and while it's slowed down by the fact I'm playing the original and the remake simultaneously, it's pretty impressive I'm still not even halfway through a game that's as old as I am.
