I made us be a nice Sunday brunch today. Melbourne is putting on a nice sunny spring day for us. It’s welcome & beautiful.
Roast chicken Maryland roasted in confit garlic and herbs. Served with a leek, mushroom & baby pea risotto, topped with Gorgonzola cheese. It was really punchy flavours tonight.
A better shot of my smoked chicken Penne pasta, under the ring light in my kitchen.
Homemade focaccia with beautiful pasta is always worth the effort.
Smoked chicken, Smokey lardon pasta with mushroom, snow pea, chive, shallot, garlic & sour cream, cracked black pepper, penne pasta. With homemade focaccia
Even in winter there is room for salad. Mixed leaf, crispy cooked procuotto, pears in butter, honey, cracked pepper, salt flakes. Dressing extra virgin olive oil into pear pan, Dijon mustard, honey, balsamic vinegar and toasted pine nuts. All tossed and topped with Gorgonzola cheese #wintersalad

My first inaugural tricycle picnic adventure yesterday. Along the bike path alongside our local beach. It was a wonderful sunny winters day.

My twin & I went to a reunion in a place we worked in the early 80s. Tagged as the most glamorous nightclub in the southern hemisphere. The 21st Century Dance Club. I was manager and my twin Hudson was head chef. I had no idea it would become a kms jetted grungy band hole!! I’m glad we went however
It’s the tail end of winter, the ocean is beautiful no matter the weather, especially with afternoon tea and a great read of my favourite magazine “The Simple Things”
I love our local Artiest. They produce beautiful pieces.
Spanish style lamb shanks last night. In a rich Roaja Spanish wine, balsamic vinegar & beef stick, with chorizo, red onion, carrots and baked potato mash. It was so rich and tasty.
Ahhh finally a hint that spring is indeed on the way. My corn flowers are flowering and my first humble poppy is in the process of opening. I’m overjoyed, is that sad? 😂
Had a creative play today, and turned my twin Hudson into super hero’s lol. I had to share lol
Vegetarian frittata tonight… oh yum! 9 vegetables. Great on a cold night!
Finally a warm sunny break here in wintery Melbourne. I made a smoked ham and black jack sharp cheese quiche with my own shortcrust pastry, and brothers homemade bread in a suppporting role! With French style terrine. #homemade #letscook #freshbread #homemadequiche
An old go to for us last night. Roast chicken thigh with leek, mixed mushrooms and pea risotto, with homemade bread. It’s was great on a cold Melbourne winters night
I’m clearly a lot more settled in this house now. I love an interesting and welcoming space like my dining room.
A beautiful cake, made with beautiful lychee fruit. It was sublime. We have had this cake every year for 3 years now. We love it.
My brother Hudson & I had a wonderful finale birthday dinner tonight with friends. Me on the right. Hudson on the left 🥂🍾🎂
