Putting aside how dumb this is for all the reasons everyone else is objecting—in the past 30 years, film hasn’t changed nearly as much as it did in the 30 years before I was born. The LOTR movies haven’t aged at all. It’s not like being a kid in the 90s watching films from the 60s (which we all did)

Man, this is such a nihilistic take. Forget Lord of the Rings. My kids have watched The Wizard of Oz. The Godfather. Planet of the Apes. TONS of classics that are quite a bit older than 30 years, and they’ve enjoyed and appreciated them all.

This is an interesting idea. Didn’t know there was a poetry category now. I’m not sure how I feel about putting us in that category though. My knee jerk reaction is that people who write sf poetry don’t have a ton of support and I’d feel bad taking up a spot on the short list…

I want to see Clipping on the ballot. There is a poetry category now (wasn't one in 2016 or 2017), and I think this album deserves consideration for the poetry award. This is great poetry: Change the channel, the waves are making your face hurt Make the most of it, short days in the basement 1/3
