Wednesday 5th August Only the one highlight from my early morning walk but it was a welcome one ; Parornix fagivora : tenanted fold on the tip of a Beech leaf (Garrioch Rd, Maryhill) No previous records of this species for Lanarkshire VC77. Collected to rear through. #teammoth

Sunday 2nd August Found this beauty of a larva crawling up the side of McDonalds, Maryhill and it looks a lot like Hawthorn Sawfly 'Trichiosoma tibiale' but then again Sawfly larva are tricky to id. #sawflies #invertebrates
Sunday 2nd August It was a nice surprise to find this 'fasciated' Rosebay Willowherb 'Chamaenerion angustifolium' along the F&C Canal, Cadder. Notice the the flat ribbon like stem and the over abundance of flower buds at the top of the stem. #wildflowers

Wednesday 22nd July What few mushrooms are around at the moment are really struggling in this prolonged dry spell...as can be seen by the splitting on the caps & the contorted gills on these Blushers 'Amanita rubescens' We really need some rain soon! #fungifriends
