The thing with early fascism (in disguise) is that it can only rise when enough people have been led to believe this is the right path (voted for it). And it can only stop if the same people come to the conclusion that they have been misled, which is hard. Otherwise it will continue to escalate

Vision: Agentic AI will make our our jobs so much more efficient Reality: Let's change a working manual process into a more complicated digital process and then develop AI agents that help us through the now more complicated process
A suggestion: can we ask the lettuce to write a counter opinion in the WP? It would surely have more substance
You first wonder why your eyes are so itchy today, you then watch how the wind catches the pine tree outside the window and a yellow cloud raises and wobbles midair through the yard

Maybe one of the more creative cold mail openings I received recently. Still a no reply, but an extra point for this line.
Interviewer: Can you explain this gap in your resume? Me: ... and it wasn't even a real fish ... (Those who know, know)
I think we should just pretend High Throughput Experimentation was invited by Yoda who obviously said 'Throughput High Experimention you have there' so we can happily use THE as the acronym and all document writing would accelerate significantly #Chemsky
Today was getting up at - as @marcelswart.bsky.social would call it - stupid o'clock to continue a journey that should have finished yesterday already

Am I now supposed to post clever wisdoms with all those new followers, or can I stay myself? For those knowing me from before, I nowadays tend to rant less about academia (for maybe obvious reasons) and more about bad chemistry data practise. And I am still excited about (comp)chem #ChemSky
It really feels like the old community is finally getting together here at bluesky. Nice to see you all here #ChemSky
When this happens in November, it normally means to prepare for a rainy Christmas

I wonder how the combination of a now stock market listed publishing company whose profitability is now private investor driven and a central Europe funding agency whose public funding receivers are incentivized to publish in 1st for money is not a clear conflict of interest? #ChemSky
Good morning. Happy 'but is it really chemistry day' to you all #ChemSky
When I am extracting and collecting historically published cyclic voltammetry results for OLEDs, is it fair to name them 'hysterical data'? *asking for a #ChemSky friend*

With 28°C in September, even the the fir is sweating in Sweden. And from the #Chemsky perspective a wonderfully strong scent of terpene chemistry lies in the air.
Great opportunity to work with my colleague Johan Åqvist at Uppsala University, using simulation to explore enzyme evolution and adaptation to extreme environments. For more details and an application list, see: uu.varbi.com/en/what:job/...
1-2 Postdoctoral positions in Computational Biochemistry
Are you interested in working with computer simulations of enzymes, with the support of competent and friendly colleagues in an international environment? Are you looking for an employer that invests
