Surveillance is the issue "none of that changes the basic fact of how #ALPR cameras work, which constantly scan all passing vehicles regardless of which vendor runs them. Switching vendors also does not address the more fundamental issue of whether such tech should require a warrant" NoALPRs.com 🚫

Cities Are Ditching Flock, Immediately Replacing It With Axon License Plate Readers

Rather than get rid of ALPR cameras entirely, many cities and towns are switching to Axon, whose cameras can be mounted to an existing streetlamp, helping them blend into their surroundings.

If your city is suspending or cancelling #Flock, remember that "switching to another #ALPR vendor" is NOT the solution. Dragnet bulk data collection is the core problem. #Flock is just one particularly egregious example. Mass #surveillance does not make any of us safer! 🚫

Digging through FARA filings, does anyone know how to get the amount the contracts are for? I can only seem to get the data of _who_ is accepting money from foreign governments for operations in the US. On all the filings I spot checked, all but one, the "amount" is blank.
