Let's start with housing — the problem is clear, rent is too high and home ownership is out of reach. Today, I’m proud to announce the Building Up Illinois Developments (BUILD) Plan to lower housing costs by making it easier, faster, and more cost-effective to build homes here.

Chicago took a step forward for housing affordability today! Accessory dwelling units—such as my home for the last 2 years—are now legal to build in 135% more of the city. It’s not perfect, but it’s progress. Thank your alderman and tell them you want even more housing options. @stevevance.net
