The trailer for the upcoming movie about the 1381 peasants' revolt showcases a profile of Windsor Castle that did not exist until Jeffry Wyatville remodeled much of the building in the 1820s and 30s. Rather soured me on the film if I'm honest.

Re-reading Cowper's footnotes to his own translation of Homer, I discover that he notes the interesting circumstance that nobody in the Odyssey is ever described eating fish - despite that fact that the whole epic is set either at sea or not far from a beach.
