Senior full-stack vibe-coder, currently working on a peer-to-peer spatial web of user-owned, procedurally generated virtual worlds for the ATProto network: https://github.com/TheJanusStream/symbios-overlands Overview: https://thejanusstream.github.io/

Working on procedurally generated human faces in 3D with coding agents is a pretty frustrating experience. But at least I am expanding my vocabulary with words like "medial sclera".

If you are looking for a cool open-ended project idea ... a 3D version of this would be awesome. Not the simple version where all results look like roblox, but the complicated version where the results look like AAA Game characters. That's the level of ATmosphere additions I want to see emerge.

Dropped a HUGE update to the rpg.actor/generator this weekend. It adds a brand new Face category, which lets you customize the Eyes, Nose and Mouth of your rpg.actor sprite! We're opening it with 36 new traits to mix and match, allowing far more expressive and personalized characters. 👀👃👄

Let's talk about the risk of highly capable models being open. Imagine the worst person with the worst intentions. That person is out there somewhere... Imagine the most reckless person imaginable. That person is out there somewhere... I ain't afraid of your ASI, I am afraid of these people.

Yesterday evening a man drove a car into the CSD parade in Berlin. 1 women died, 16 people injured. The suspect seems to be an Islamist, who was known to the Police as a potential threat. How can we get rid of such terrorists without antagonizing Muslims/migrants who just want to live in peace?

Just looked up the date on my earliest AI-assisted programming project. End of September 2025. That is less than a year ago ... and almost nobody at that time thought LLM written code would be a good idea ... (and it wasn't, at that time) That is a staggering amount of change for 1 year.

Oh ffs, Fable ... first time its guardrails cock-blocked me. It was supposed to research simulation of morphogenesis and growth of plants using L-Systems. Hey hey, ho ho, these kinds of guardrails have got to go!

Let's rekindle the friendship between USA and Europe: We (🇪🇺) agree that sometimes it would be really nice to have air conditioning. You (🇺🇸) agree that sometimes it would be really nice to have proper food safety systems. ❤️

Security researchers having to use a Chinese LLM is more than a little ironic and probably counter-productive. How many of them actually have the hardware to host it locally? That's going to be a nice and steady flow of 0-days, the backends can harvest.

#Overlands Currently working on a significant UI/UX overhaul. This kind of work used to be rather painful with Opus, but Fable is pretty good at it. For a virtual world with in-world editing these things are relatively complex and never perfect. But that doesn't mean they should be neglected.

Anthropic gave us a usage reset, just like last week. But the math changed: Last week a 5-hour window limit in Fable resulted in 20% weekly Fable limit uage. This week it results in 25%.
