Somebody at work just blamed Copilot for messing up a list of people being recognized for an award, but I want to know who thought trusting Copilot was a good idea.

Rode the train up to NYC with my kid to see Ted Leo play a free show at Tompkins Square Park, but first Shellshag.

A man pointing toward the camera and a woman singing into a microphone perform on an outdoor stage next to a custom speaker stack.

Started the day by dropping one tiny pill on the floor. I finally found it, but when I went to put it back in the bottle, I hadn't secured the lid. I dropped the whole bottle and the rest went flying. I think I found them all, but good morning!

You think the NWSL leaving Victory+ means the games will move to a channel or platform you've heard of, but they will really end up on BZZR.

I am tired after staying up late for the weather-delayed Washington Spirit game vs Utah. The bus to work feels like a red-eye.

Headed up to Philly on Amtrak for the second night of MTWB. Perhaps more surprising for a man of my age, I didn't pick the night Pavement was playing.

A high-angle photo of a concrete sidewalk covered in hand-drawn concert advertisements written in black paint. The poster announces "CONCERT WEEKEND at THE DELL" featuring Pavement and Rat Boys on Friday July 24, plus Kurt Vile & The Violators, They Are Gutting a Body of Water, and Twisted Teens on Saturday July 25. The graffiti-style artwork includes band names, logos (WXPN, RS/PROUD), decorative starbursts and doodles.

Just an ideal evening for a concert at Fort Reno in DC. We have been going to these off and on for 30 years.

Two musicians are silhouetted on a stage against a vibrant sunset, playing instruments at an outdoor concert.

Given all the "what kind of dude are you" discourse, I am surprised that jarls, karls, or thralls hasn't taken off.

Autocorrect wanted to change "teleworking" to "twerking." Somehow I prefer "Emergency twerking is authorized due to X."

It feels very "I Am Legend" when most co-workers are teleworking due to a high security VIP event in another part of the building.

The other day my kid told me I remind him of the dad from Calvin & Hobbes in terms of dad biking and making up elaborate false explanations for scientific phenomena.

We stayed in a new construction AirBnB carriage house in the Victorian Village of Columbus, OH last week. What is a bit crazy to me is that design standards must have required this fake, nonfunctional garage door on the exterior. Behind it was a bedroom.

Exterior front view of a two-story garage with olive-tan horizontal siding and white trim. A closed white paneled garage door sits below a black gooseneck light fixture. On the dark gray shingled roof above, a white dormer holds three black-framed square windows. White gutters run along the rooflines down to a concrete apron facing a gravel driveway.

Walked around the campus of The Ohio State University today. Love a big state school campus. We saw a bike rack with a green roof.

A modern, covered bicycle parking shelter situated on a wide concrete sidewalk next to a multi-lane road. The shelter features a striking architectural design with a series of curved, crisscrossing black metal supports that hold up a long, gently arched roof. The roof is a green roof, covered in a layer of living grass and small plants. Several bicycles are parked underneath the structure. In the background, there is a dense line of lush green trees under a partly cloudy sky, along with a classic black lamppost standing next to the sidewalk.

Happy to be watching this Washington Spirit game on vacation. The TV screen here is ridiculously, excessively large. Probably as good as being in the stands in Cary, NC.

What if the DC Public Library rooftop punk show is really just a sting operation to get me to return the book I checked out on the natural history of pawpaws.

I really wanted to like a bike helmet I got on sale from REI, but it made me look like The Great Gazoo. In retrospect, this could have been anticipated.

Neon yellow Cannondale Sidestreet bike helmet. It is bulbous with a prominent front air vent and other vents on the top. Image of The Great Gazoo from the Flintstones. He is a little green guy in a green jumpsuit and cape with a large bulbous green helmet with antenna.

Oh shit, the D24 Deanwood doesn't stop at Stadium-Armory metro anymore. I was surprised to learn this as the bus sped across the East Capitol St bridge.

I walked through the Great American State Fair in DC and it is as pathetic as everyone is saying. It is extremely bare bones and what is there is just sad. If you have a local county fair, go there instead.

A large grassy expanse of the National Mall with a few people milling around. There are plywood sheds with poorly applied classical elements in the distance at the edge of the grass. A white, blocky scale model of the arch Trumps wants to build. It ugly.
