Today's stream of shared news articles was feeling incredibly stressful until what really captured my imagination was this little poetic object, and thinking about the hands that held it 2,000 years ago.
Carausius@carausius286.bsky.social · 4mo agoThis delightful little painted wooden horse was a child’s toy around 2,000 years ago. It dates from 1st - 3rd century AD Roman Egypt. The wood has been preserved so well by the intense dryness of the Egyptian climate. 🏛️📷 British Museum #AncientBlueSky 🏺
I think this advice extends beyond poetry. Keep the editor out of your work until it's time for them to do their job.
