got jumpscared at the kinokuniya today... walked around the corner of the manga section when I overheard someone go "oh I've heard this manga is good (holding Red River) that shoujo lady talks about it a lot" whether or not I was who they were talking about is unknown because I literally ran away
this is how you honor the source material while still maintaining animation as a separate medium, what an incredible feat and another great addition to (the very few) josei adaptations we've gotten
