20 years ago today, the Falador Massacre happened in RuneScape! Cursed You held a house party in Rimmington to celebrate being first to level 99 Construction. When players were kicked from his house, a glitch let some of them keep their ability to attack others, and Durial321 tore through Falador.
🦀 10 years ago today, Sand Crabs were added to Old School RuneScape! 🦀 Found along the southern coast of Hosidius, these zero defence, high HP crabs became the go to AFK training spot for a generation of players. Almost every OSRS account has afk'd next to a crab pretending to be a pile of sand.
1 year ago today, Yama, the Master of Pacts, was added to Old School RuneScape! Found deep within the Chasm of Fire, this fiery demon boss brought a new solo/duo encounter and Oathplate armour to the game. One year later, he’s already running the show in Old School’s newest League: Demonic Pacts!
10 years ago today, Monkey Madness II was added to Old School RuneScape! As Old School's first ever new quest, it was a huge moment for the game. It introduced Demonic Gorillas, Zenyte jewelry, Ballistas, and the Royal Seed Pod, making it one of the most important quests in OSRS history.
20 years ago today, the Swan Song quest was added to RuneScape! In this quest, players teamed up with the Wise Old Man to defend the Piscatoris Fishing Colony from sea trolls. Completing it unlocked the ability to catch monkfish at the colony, a food that became a staple throughout the mid 2000s.
