Rewatched HOMECOMING and it is just wild how much more pointed and charming and exciting it is than any of the subsequent Holland Spider-Mans, including the new one. A real movie about the character instead of a franchise stepping stone.

My wife asked to watch OBSESSION last night and it was so fun because she spent the first 45 minutes going "Yes, obviously this guy is a piece of shit, duh, when is this going to get scary?" She ended up liking it quite a bit but I just want to shout out her normal audience expectations.
