Gabriel "Joy" Reid (they/she) is a writer, filmmaker, animator, and illustrator pursuing their M.F.A. in Visual Narrative at Boston University. They’re also the founder of Sunflower Workshop, a new independent media production, art education, and publishing company. #BCICF2026
David F. Walker is an award-winning comic book writer, filmmaker, journalist, and educator. Walker is best known for "Big Jim and the White Boy" and the Eisner Award-winning "The Black Panther Party", the Eisner Award and Ringo-winning series "Bitter Root" , and the Eisner-nominated series "Naomi".
James III is a writer, producer, and actor. He Is the writer of the comic "Junior." His comic writing credits include the "Powerpuff Girls Supervillain Summer Spectacular", "DuckTales Valentine's Day Special 2026", and co-writing the recently launched Disney's "Stitch" comic series. #BCICF2026
Meet Sherwin Long! An illustrator and freelance artist from Dorchester, he graduated from Massachusetts College of Art and Design with an MFA in Illustration. Sherwin's unique work is inspired by hip-hop music, spirituality, architecture, mythology, and poetry. #bcicf2026
