While I have been critical of others on social media for the stuff they put out, I am also constantly thinking about the persona that I also emit. I'm trying so hard to be less negative and a big part of that is understanding the amount of energy I have and questioning if it is worth spending.

In many cases, various elements that creates a segment of social makeup tends to adjust in time. Folks made fun of nerds because they played D&D. Now it’s accepted. And perhaps the adjustment should now be placed on people who make posts like the one Tabby here is sharing. Shove em in lockers!

Some dude explaining why he doesn’t read books. (From a video of a woman quoting a passage from a book she likes)

Books are second-hand experience, and importing them into my system risks diluting the structures I carved through direct contact with the world. Jade reads to feel held; I read the world by letting it bite. Fiction is beautiful, sure
- but beauty is bait, and I don't let bait rewire my neural architecture.

I think game betas should have aptitude tests. “Are you aware that this is a beta?” “Are you sure you are aware?” “Are you going to submit bugs to make the experience better?” “Are you going to complain on Reddit about things not happening instantly instead of letting us go through JIRA first?”
