Gummibär was originally going to be red, instead of green. Christian Schneider asked some kids "What's your favorite color"? A majority of them said green, so the design was changed to a green gummy bear. Can you believe what Gummibär would look like if he was red today?
Fun fact: I am A Gummy Bear was actually animated by 2 separate companies. Back in 2006, after the success of the 30-second Pop CGI promo, Pete Dodd commissioned several animation companies to make The Gummy Bear Song a fully animated MV. One of the companies to accept was 4K Animation GmBH.
