More than three weeks after Mitch McConnell was hospitalized for reasons still not public, Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear is demanding answers. In a new letter, Beshear is calling for McConnell to "fully update Kentuckians regarding the current status of your health."

When people ask how to find sources to trust, I always say first and foremost that no journalist is infallible. And if they are unwilling to accept or even consider errors either in accuracy or morality, they cannot be trusted. This applies to myself as well!! Just something to think about.

That is not how "law" works. A thing is lawful or not; "voters" come into the picture elsewhere, by voting for people to change the law. And this extra-judicial "voters" argument fails on its own logic: what power do voters have over a second-term President? Or have we just abandoned that law too?

Today marks the bicentennial of the deaths of John Adams and Thomas Jefferson and the 195th anniversary of the death of James Monroe. Among our first five presidents, only Washington and Madison expired on a different day (and Madison died just six days early).
