"It's weird how nobody can read anymore!" It's the fascism. "Gosh, you notice how nobody seems to engage with" It's fascism. "The focus on aesthetics instead of content is" Fascism. "Why do people think the past was better than" FASCISM.

The U.S. Secretary of Defense just stated that—so far—the war with Iran has cost $37.5 billion dollars. That's since February. That same amount is how much the United States spent on planetary science from FY2013 through FY2026 inclusive. Thirteen years of planetary science or five months of war.

The Curiosity rover on Mars. At about $2.6 billion, it buys you about ten days of Iran war.

We've talked about it before but libraries like this aren't just an incredible resource of learning the history of space exploration but they're useful *now* for modern space. Every engineer in the industry has run into a problem and then found the solution in a public NASA paper from the 60s.

This is all historical & relevant. Trump is forcing NASA to 'burn down' a Library-of-Alexandria's-100,000-item aeronautical & spaceflight library. The people of the USA paid for this library over decades, it is our public property. Republicans know only destruction & bulldozing others.

Mainstream Respectable opinion is that people joking about a bad person's death represents a culture of cruelty, but really it represents a culture of impunity. It's a coping mechanism for watching someone do evil their whole life and never seeing consequences
