Breakout sessions have kicked off on Day 2 of #CONUL25, where we're learning about a vast array of topics such as archival literacy and engagement, RDM, and bats (yes, bats in the library!)

Anne Jarvis is explaining how ephemera gives us a "rare and powerful glimpse" into people's lives at that time, and also at how we live today. The fact that they are fragile and were not expected to last makes them all the more important to our understanding to the past and our future. #CONUL25
Anne Jarvis' final theme is Sustainability, pointing out that collections that we create will only be valuable if we keep sustainability in mind. - looking at stock and deciding what is needed, rather than what has always been collected - looking at subject headings - collecting ephemera #CONUL25
Princeton Univeristy Library will be introducing a Curiosity Studio, allowing space for pop-ups, presentations, and a space to be collaboratively creative. The Makerspace is intended to break down barriers. #CONUL25
Anne Jarvis' next point is Innovation. She is urging us to us AI technologies "thoughtfully, responsibly" and in a "meaningful and creative" way to continue the tradition of libraries exploring new ideas. Library space innovation - a hot topic - is also being discussed. #CONUL25
Anne Jarvis is telling is how ReCap has come about as a collaboration between - Princeton University Library - Columbia University Libraries - New York Public Library - Harvard Library - Yale joining in July There an amazing 18 million volumes in this shared collection! recap.princeton.edu
