There is a little Italian restaurant near us that is 1) Only open 11:30 am-5:30pm on Sundays. 2) has a limited menu with some combination of pasta, red sauce, meatballs, and bread. 3)Looks like it is in a church basement But it also has this meatball sandwich the size of a football.

Academic ranks are weird. And higher Ed is a hot mess. But: I am so pleased to announce I will be an Associate professor next year. I am so grateful to my mentors, colleagues, friends, and family who all made this possible!

Pittsburgh Airport got a massive renovation. But, I might be the only person in the world that looks forward to seeing the old 1980s tile work. It's still around in parts. My father & grandfather were tile setters and worked on the airport. I wonder if the new floors will last over 40 years?

Glad to see they kept my DIY patio that I put my blood sweat and tears into. Also my funky tile choices!

Sad dog begging me to chase him for a sock he stole
