I put together the title and the player characters as a sort of title screen, which we’ve been using on Foundry. For me, it’s special. It’s the world that I created, now being run by a friend – an opportunity to play in a world that I know but wish to explore myself.

Finally, an actual win on Master Duels with my Hero deck. after five losses, two disconnections, and two opponents forfeiting after doing some combos on turn 1, losing the coin toss all night, and subsequently going second all night heart of the cards got me a comeback *passes out in victory*

I've been grumbling quite a bit here - because the things I've been finding joy in have coincided with exposure to negative voices about those things. Replaying Pokemon? "Legends ZA is awful and full of shit lmao" Making D&D homebrew? "I hate 2024 rules, they're awful, WotC hates players".,,
This is your friendly reminder to not play Dungeons and Dragons. Oh, no, not because there's better systems. Its because the fans of the game hate the game and get real dismissive of people being "open minded". Remember! The game is bad because the company is bad, and playing it makes you bad!
Maybe something else to ponder is the rampant capitalist-fueled consumerism that wishes to sell us our nostalgia for a time when we weren't aware of danger. Its well-known nostalgia is a powerful selling force, but is it simultaneously reinforcing these ideas that media has to match our adulthood?
CS Lewis said something similar about fairy tales, but to me, an aspect of growing up means looking at the stories and games you played as a child, and acknowledging that they are for children while still enjoying them. Games don't need to grow up with you, you can still love them for what they are

Wake up guys, [popular franchise] had an entry that is not at high standards said franchise can achieve by a not close margin! Call it "dogshit" and say the company is the actual worst and try to "promote" a competitor to REPLACE it!
I wasn't ready to watch without sound and think "damn these guys dancing is fire, whats the beat I won't recognize" and then actually hear a classical piece and now I have even more mad respect.

idk man, I tried genAI before it was capitalized. Wasn't satisfied with the results. 1) Text genAI absolutely refuses to hold context. It could write a sentence! But its cohesiveness sucked ass. Great for rotting a brain.

Been binging AtLA videos lately, and seeing comments of "I wish I had an Uncle Iroh in my life" makes me wonder Why can't *you* be the Iroh others need?
The comic is from a audition for a tournament that I did not finish for round 1, and is the closest thing I had for this. 2014 or so to 2023 was pretty devoid of art, due to various factors.
