Do we still need journals to publish? Debate at #EGU26 Some control for quality, ethic and originality is needed. But trust is an issue. Anonymosity. Costs. Assessments. AI. Would a metric for peer-reviews help? Should we limit publications? How to read all? Too many questions for not enough time!

Mentimeter results showing 143 Yes and 50 No to the question if scientific journals are still needed.

Such a great evening! 😃 I really enjoyed my first public science communication event! Talking about the importance of soils, its animals, and the carbon cycle to kids, parents, and interested people. Hopefully sparked some interest and made clear that soil is no dirt. Also got great feedback!

After months of preparations - the Long Night of Research is happening today! 🤩 Our booth is all about soil and its hidden superheros and their superpowers 🌱🍂🦠🪱🍄‍🟫 Find out what soil is, who lives there, and why our lives depend on healthy soils. Long Covid, Post Covid, ME/CFS, PEM, Pacing. So viele verwirrende Begriffe. So wenig Aufmerksamkeit für Betroffene. Schau doch dieses grandiose Video, um zu verstehen, dass diese Krankheit eben nicht "nur Erschöpfung" oder ein falsches Mindset ist. www.zdf.de/play/shows/m...

Long Covid & ME/CFS – Blackbox der Pandemie

Die Pandemie ist für die meisten vorbei, aber für über Hunderttausende in Deutschland ist sie es nicht. Sie leiden unter den Spätfolgen ihrer Corona-Infektion.

On this day my thoughts are with all people suffering from Long Covid, ME/CFS and other chronic diseases who, on top of being incomprehensibly ill, constantly face medical gaslighting, societal denial and bureaucratic barriers. I am incredibly lucky to have recovered. Are you healthy? - Be grateful!

Week #10 2026: Happy to share that my PhD Prelim was a success 🥳 Did a course on Social Media Content Creation at main university. Walk at Augarten (childhood memories! They cut my climbing tree 😭 and planted conifers?). Got ill with a weird cold. Picked up my citizen science bee hotel 😁🐝 Spring 🪻🌱
