Some college FB players were lifting at my gym this am. Saw one guy deadlift 495 lbs--first time I ever saw an Olympic barbell sag in real life. But here's the thing--I've used the same plates, and they have played against guys now in NFL, so my weight plates are one degree of separation from NFL.

Well, the country I live in is a fascist kleptocracy with a trash culture and a plurality of wicked people. But on the bright side, after weeks of inverted hangs and negatives I held my first ever tuck front lever this morning. #Calisthenics

One night in college, a guy I knew suddenly started kicking a recessed light. "Why are you doing that?" He didn't really answer. He just kept on kicking until the light was broken and dark and utterly destroyed. Years later I deleted that guy from my social media accounts for being MAGA.

The impoundment mess today is all about the President trying to take Congressional spending power. The stories of program impacts are important but the real issue is that power. If Trump can wrest control of appropriations from Congress, he can coerce nonprofits, universities, local govts. etc
