(2/2) so re; previous post it will be the last #BigWildSleepout as @rspb.bsky.social @rspbengland.bsky.social will from November 2026 no longer manage the reserve so It may well be closed to the public #ThamesWater who own the site looks for new tenants 🤞🥴

Sharing joy as a friend saw her lifer Marsh Tit (& my FOY bird) 3. 12 Swifts overhead - they'll soon be gone for another year 4. Red Kite flying over my garden 5. Bullfinch on woodland walk 🪶

RSPB Cymru has secured a key piece of land in mid Wales that will reconnect the two halves of its Gwenffrwd-Dinas nature reserve, creating a larger, more resilient landscape for wildlife:

RSPB Cymru has completed the purchase of a 96-ha tract of ancient woodland and upland habitat in Mid Wales, reconnecting the two halves of Gwenffrwd-Dinas nature reserve and creating new opportunities for species including Pied Flycatcher and Hen Harrier.

What were your #Top5Birds or bird moments from the past week? Mine - from my garden: 1. Long-tailed Tits feeding right next to me 2. Red Kite flying very low overhead 3. Three Swifts flying around my house 4. Rook vocalising with caws and chirps 5. Young Woodpigeon being fed by its parent 🪶
