Hey! Just a quick update: Taking care of orphan kittens is a lot of work! But I'm still making progress on Extort My Heart! Some outlines for chats have been rewritten, some basic code for a new mini game is in the debugging phase, and some small script changes have been implemented. Stay tuned! 💜

Looks like the cat distribution system decided to celebrate the update with me cuz these kittens were found in my parking lot right as it was uploading. Mom never came back so now I’m syringe feeding them. Looking forward to my two hour blocks of sleep cuz they need to be fed every 2-3 hours 🫠😻

It will be awhile until I go looking for a VA for Nova, but I don't want to go back in later to find everywhere I wanted a voiced line to be. Might be a compromise to record some lines myself and replace them later. I'm not a VA tho so I'm worried it might spoil the experience to some players🤔

The sad part of writing is sometimes having to admit something you spent a lot of time on just isn't working for the story you're trying to tell. I had fun and spent hours on it but major change or simply a full cut is sadly needed 😔

About 2,000 words today! Was hoping for more but dinner calls. Maybe I'll start up again before bed since it's the weekend! Tbh part of me misses the short deadline of the game jam lmao. Endless motivation and a pinch or two or ten of stress 😂

Originally Lost and Found was going to be completely different! OG concept was the player finds an old link to a D&D server and finds that the three remaining members are longtime friends who now just use it to chat! Very different! Isn't it fun how much stories can change while working on them?
