Will mainly post about Critical Role and gaming with an emphasis on retro gaming and JRPGS, especially of the Final Fantasy variety. However, I'm a human being with interiority so I could post about anything. (He/Him)

Seeing Super Mario Sunshine discourse coming back. Super Mario Sunshine was so weird. If you've never played it, you can't be prepared for how weird it is relative to the rest of the Mario universe. It's such a Summer haze fever dream. So jank. So frustrating. I... want to replay it.

Overwatch 6v6 queue is giving me my best win rate so it's objectively the best mode, until that changes. In which case it will no longer be the best.

Sometimes I think about doing promotion hashtags to try and find more mutuals but it scares the hell out of me lol. Don't think that particular crowd would be fine with how much I nitpick either.

Actually hilarious that Marche, the protag of Final Fantasy Tactics Advance, was used to warn against getting drunk on escapism and called out Ivalice as an insidious trap while FFTA2 just completely reverses the script with Luso going around saying, "YEAH ESCAPISM RULEZ!"

Man, I think at least 30 of the accounts I'm following have abandoned posting here. Oh well. Props to the principled survivors on my timeline who carry on even as the stars fade.

So weird watching Age of Umbra and the ads are just... ads. No jokes. No bits. No Sam taking his pants off or pouring whipped cream on his head. That's grim dark.

Imagine if online discourse existed for Blitzball. "You're still a fan of the Besaid AurUNCs???" "This guy Brother is cracked somebody get him a cousin. Less chromosomes = more goalosomes" "I'm glad Kilika didn't live to see this horrid performance." "Are you a Luca Grower or a Luca Shower?" #FFX

Rainy days make me wish I was wandering the Giza Plains. I'm always moments away from abandoning the backlog and starting up a new save of FFXII.

Haven't seen them mentioned much on here so these are some of the other notable announcements from the #FFXIV Keynote. - Mandatory voice chat for all players - All classes will have rear and flank positionals - Mods will be dispensed to city states to arrest horny RPers - All scions are hetero

Atlus' "Catherine" is a great case study in discerning writer intent. Were the writers being problematic, or were the characters just messy? As with most of Atlus' stuff, I think the writing bends too exaggeratedly towards negative characterization/cheap humor for it to just be the latter.

One of the closest approximations I can give to the phrase "dying a little on the inside" is being an old YouTube head learning that a classic video from your youth was taken down.

Wild how going out to run errands or conduct business reminds me of how transparently anti-consumer everything is now. "This is worse than before and costs more and you're just going to have to shut up and take it." It feels... untenable. Like we're descending further into madness.
