Every time Google fires off an “a.i. summary“ someones home becomes a little bit more uninhabitable because the machines running the data center across the street are screaming at top volume while they consume all the potable water in the city and drive up the cost of basic electricity.

BTW, YACreader is phenomenal for digital comics. I’ve been backing indie comics on Kickstarter for more than a decade and this is the first simple turn key digital comics solution that just works really well.
The world is a dumpster fire, but I also got to hang with this dude in the way to work…
I like physical comics. I don’t mind reading digital comics. I cannot express how much I do not care about “digital collectibles” in comics or otherwise.
Oh boy, spent a few minutes setting up my new @wacom-japan.bsky.social MovinkPad running android and I’ve got to tell you that this thing is freaking slick! Significantly better drawing experience than my iPad Pro and it can function as a cintiq when plugged into another computer.
"Weird Al" Yankovic has always been a real one. Just learned that he very recently turned down "a nice pile of money" to shill for A.I. Damn right he did. @alyankovic.bsky.social www.syracuse.com/entertainmen...
Inked a fairly complicated panel today. Hopefully the rest of this page is more forgiving.
In today’s “random things indie comics artists do” I created a vector pattern brush as a smart object of part of this Plantation House so this “talking head” scene is less boring to look at.

I keep hearing, “I don’t use ai to create anything, I just use it for brainstorming/coming up with ideas.” STOP DOING THAT! Anything you turn over to the machine, that part of your brain goes dark. I’m convinced the future belongs to those who haven’t outsourced their thinking and creativity.
There’s a little squirrel that was messing with the chickens a little from outside the coop. It was lucky for him that there was chicken wire in between him and these little velociraptors… It seems that my dream of tiny tree rodents befriending chickens is still in the future.
I think one of the worst fumbles Hollywood has ever done is dropping the ball on Mouse Guard. It looked amazing. People were excited. It would’ve hit theaters at the start of the animation boom. And instead, they just didn’t do it.
The picture hanging system I’m using in my art studio to hang some comic pages.
Welp… had to teach 4 classes today with a torn contact. I’ve got to leave a pair of glasses at work. That was unpleasant

My new studio showed up today. A lot of work yet to be done before I move in, but the structure is in place!

People are more important than things. This is true even if those things are software programmed to flirt with us and talk like a person and billionaires are pretending that those things have souls. People are still more important than things.

Rewatching “Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip” and The fact that this show was canceled is a travesty.
