COSMOPOET

@cosmopoet.bsky.social

COSMOPOET is MSCA project by Divna Manolova @dulila.bsky.social. It is funded by the European Union (grant agreement No 101108590) and hosted by UGent. COSMOPOET rethinks the relationship between poetry and astronomy in the space of late Byzantine schools.

COSMOPOET's #starwalks continue with suggestions by those who attended the first Ghent StarWalk in June. The first one comes from Grigory Vorobyev: Built in 1980, this landmark features a white terracotta relief representing "the cosmic marriage of the past and future". #MSCA ✨🚶‍♀️🤩

On the occasion of the annual day of the Belgian Byzantinists, I also managed to do a second mini #starwalk in Leuven and so I would like to add to Verbiest's globe, this art installation, thanks to which it is possible to step right in the beginning of everything ✨✨💫💫

This was long in the making, mostly as I walked around Ghent and thought about it, and also in this space. We will give it a try tomorrow 🤩 💫✨ More updates soon! Including the map and the zine in digital form. Of course some of it will remain ephemeral. As it should be.
