Come check out The Farm at the California State Fair at Cal Expo! The 2.5 acre farm grows over 70 crops from 🍉🍇🍑🌶️🥝🍋‍🟩🍅🍆🌽🥒 to so much more! And every year the farm donates over 10,000 pounds of fresh produce to local food banks.

If you're in one of the many heatwaves, don't forget to leave out water for the animals. Many birds, stray cats, and a mule deer doe (mother of twins she's still nursing) have had a drink today. Happy to do it for them and takes only a few minutes out of my day. Photo taken through a screen. 📷🌱🦌

Poor guy! He came to me and told me he was too hot, literally bitchin' at me... 🤣 ... so I got a kitchen towel, wet it with cool water, and laid it out for him. He was wary at first but five minutes later...

Out in the rewilded yard this morning. A lot of elm seedlings to get rid of <eye roll>. Something's been bedding down by the fence line. Some of the feline friends who showed up for breakfast & a pair of 'absolute unit' thistles (over 6ft tall) that I wish were not on the other side of the fence. 😭

When the cats from another colony (3 blocks away) hear that you feed the ferals/strays at your place. Boo brought his litter mate today. I'm naming the brother Pierre. 😅 This now ups the count to 6 cats, one mule deer doe w/brand new fawn (no pics yet), 30+ small birds, doves & scrubjays. 👀😅 🐈‍⬛️🐾📷🌱
