something that made me scared of interacting in fandom was not understanding fandom jokes. people act like some jokes are common knowledge/lexicon etc. but i wouldn't get it sometimes :( and then i get treated like a tourist
does anyone else feel weird about "lore thinkpiece youtubers" making collector grade published books that can be mistaken as an official publications?
i miss when the internet was various self-contained websites instead of one or two sites + discord :(

i also have a problem with certain streamer posting their own thought pieces/interpretations and fans insisting that it's "canon" despite it just being an interpretation. (Va*tiV*dya is very very guilty of this in my eyes)
